    Shannon has more than 15 years experience planning corporate events and conferences across the globe for audiences ranging from 50 to 5,000+ people. Her comprehensive writing and organizational skills, proficiency at multi-tasking and managing deadlines, keen attention to detail and collaborative, spirited nature allow her to thrive in the fast-paced event industry.

    With a public relations and marketing communications background, Shannon began her career in Boston as an event planner for State Street, a Fortune 500 financial services company. There she discovered a passion for globetrotting and bringing people together for unforgettable event experiences. She worked closely with business heads to conceptualize and plan client-facing events to build relationships, develop new business opportunities and cross-sell a vast array of financial products and services.

    When the West Coast whispered nine years later, she joined LPL Financial in San Diego, where she played a lead role planning the firm’s three largest events and managed their client recognition program. During her eight years there, she led planning team meetings, helped drive program development, and oversaw major event components such as site selection, contract negotiation, event registration, keynote speakers, hotels and transportation, F&B, décor and entertainment. She also performed extensive budget management and wrote key communications for internal and external audiences.

    In keeping with the Sagittarian’s love of travel, Shannon spends time in both the U.S. and South America, where she currently resides with her husband and two children, enjoying life among the U.S. Embassy expat community.
